About
Performer, Educator, Creative Healing Artist, and Facilitator
Meet Charlotte Malin Collins
I’m Charlotte Malin Collins – a performer, educator, creative healing artist, and facilitator dedicated to guiding people through transformative experiences at the intersection of music, holistic wellness, and creative empowerment. With a background that spans classical violin and viola, intimate songwriting, genre-defying improvisation, and embodied healing practices, I create opportunities for deep, soulful connection through music and awareness.
My work is driven by the belief that music is not just a technical skill but a path to personal transformation. Whether I’m performing, teaching, or facilitating healing circles, my goal is to help others experience the aliveness, authenticity, and healing that music and creative practice can offer.

As a classically trained violist, I hold degrees in violin and viola from New England Conservatory and Northwestern University, where I studied under Kim Kashkashian and Almita Vamos. Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Midori and performed extensively across the globe, including tours throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, and South America. I’ve held principal viola positions with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Hartford Symphony, Albany Symphony, and Sarasota Opera Orchestra.
I am also the co-founder of Connections Concerts Series, a unique musical journey that centers on co-creation, collaboration, and community. Through this series I have explored new ways of integrating performance with collective healing and personal growth. I am the creator of Bach In Your Body, a somatic listening experience that invites participants to connect deeply with both their bodies and the music.

Beyond the concert stage, I am deeply committed to blending my musical expertise with my intuitive healing abilities to help others on their journey of self-discovery and empowerment. As a creative healing artist, I offer Body Shame Recovery mentorships, Somatic Mindfulness and Wellness Coaching for classical musicians, and Sound Healing sessions that guide clients into deep states of relaxation, emotional release, and energetic balance. I also facilitate Grief Rituals and Sound Healing Ceremonies, offering spaces for transformation and renewal.
With certifications in Family & Spiritual Constellations and Sound Therapy, and an apprenticeship in Earth-based, Soul-centric priestesshood, I create healing spaces that honor the body, mind, and spirit. My work supports breaking free from limiting patterns and connecting more deeply with their authentic selves.

As a teacher, I’m committed to shifting the culture of classical music away from perfectionism and elitism and toward a more embodied, sacred practice. I currently teach viola, violin, and chamber music at Amherst College, where my students often describe their lessons as a blend of therapy and music instruction. This holistic approach enables students to embrace both their musical abilities and their emotional and spiritual well-being.
I also believe in the medicine of singing in community. I lead song circles with the Valley Song Circle Collective every Monday night in Florence, MA, bringing people together through the healing power of voice and shared song.
Come sing with us! Drop-ins welcome, no experience required.
Mondays from 5:30 - 7:30 at The Hidden Temple, Suite #320, 221 Pine St, Florence MA

My own journey toward healing began in my early years, when I struggled with perfectionism, over-achieving, and disordered eating. A spiritual awakening in my 20s led me to reconnect with myself through yoga, meditation, qigong, and eventually, dance. I became involved in Ecstatic Dance and Contact Improvisation communities, which led to profound personal and spiritual healing. These practices have deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection and reinforced my commitment to supporting others in their own healing journeys.
Now, as a creative healer, I dedicate myself to helping others find liberation, joy, and fulfillment through music and embodied practices. I aim to create spaces where people can reclaim their unique gifts, experience deep relaxation and healing, and step into their fullest potential.
